Heavy rain has hit northern Vietnam
Heavy rain caused by a tropical depression lashed northern and north-central Vietnam, causing flooding that halted traffic in Hanoi’s capital and triggered landslide warnings on Thursday. Up to 250 mm (10 inches) of rain was recorded in some areas of Hanoi on Thursday morning, according to the National Meteorological Centre.
