Hundreds of firefighters are battling a forest fire in Madeira

Hundreds of Portuguese firefighters on Sunday rushed to extinguish a forest fire engulfing parts of the southern coast of the Atlantic island of Madeira, a popular tourist destination. Strong winds made fighting the fire difficult.
