Iceland called for a ban on “blood farms”

The EU is concerned about the “cruel” practice of taking blood from mares to create hormonal products that increase the reproduction of farm animals. Iceland is accused of violating the EEA’s law on the protection of animals used for scientific purposes, and it is said that the Icelandic authorities should ban blood collection.
