In the next five years, there may be a warming of 1.5 degrees Celsius

The chance of warming 1.5 degrees Celsius above pre-industrial levels in the world is 50% by 2026, albeit briefly, the WMO said. This does not mean that the world will pass the long-term warming threshold of 1.5 degrees Celsius that scientists have set as a ceiling to prevent catastrophic climate change.
