India declared their second innings at 487-6 at the end of the third day of the first Test match in Perth on Sunday, setting a record target of 534 runs for Australia. Opener Yashasvi Jaiswal scored 161 strokes and Virat Kohli scored 100 without taking a wicket, while spinner Nathan Lyon was the only player to take multiple wickets for the hosts, with the score at 2-96 after 39 overs.
