Italy will turn off air conditioners to save energy

Italians could face a long, hot summer with air conditioners turned off in public offices and buildings as the government seeks to reduce its dependence on Russian gas supplies. The air conditioning systems will be set to maintain temperatures of at least a pleasant 25-27 degrees Celsius during the warmest months of the year.
