The world has just experienced the hottest January on record, continuing a period of exceptional heat caused by climate change, the European Union’s Copernicus Climate Change Service (C3S) said on Thursday. According to the C3S, since 1950, the last month surpassed the previous warmest January, which occurred in 2020.
