Japan’s first Premier League player Inamoto has ended his career at the age of 45

Junichi Inamoto, the first Japanese player to play in the Premier League, will end his career at the end of the season, the 45-year-old announced in a social media post on Wednesday. The midfielder played 82 games for Japan and scored the winning goal in Japan’s first World Cup victory over Russia in 2002, which ended in a 1-0 win.
