German Olympic champion Malaika Mihambo continued her dominance in the women’s long jump by claiming her second consecutive World Championships gold with a final jump of 7.12 metres in Eugene, Oregon. Mihambo nearly dropped out of the competition after missing his first and second jumps, but recovered well to post a valid third attempt of 6.98m.
