Temperatures in parts of China, including Shanxi, Hebei and Liaoning provinces, reached their lowest levels since records began, state broadcaster State Broadcasting reported. In addition, the city of Yichun could break the record of minus 47.9 degrees Celsius, set in January 1980, early next week.
