Maura Tierney will join NBC’s ‘Law & Order’ to play a female NYPD lieutenant. Her signing comes after Camryn Manheim left the series after three seasons playing Lieutenant Kate Dixon. Tierney is the second new cast member for the long-running crime series; Tony Goldwyn joined midway through last season following the departure of Sam Waterston.
