Daniil Medvedev struggled to contain the might of Portugal’s Nuno Borges at the Australian Open, but the Russian prevailed 6-3 7-6(4) 5-7 6-1 to reach the quarter-finals. Medvedev let a big lead slip in the third set but rallied in the fourth and will now face Poland’s Hubert Gurkacz.
