Microsoft says the U.S. asked for $28.9 billion in an audit dispute

Microsoft said the US Internal Revenue Service (IRS) notified the company in September that it is seeking an additional $28.9 billion in tax payments, plus penalties and interest for tax years 2004 to 2013.
