Moscow breaks 1917 heat record in early July
Russians faced one of the most intense heatwaves in more than a century on Thursday. Moscow broke a 1917 record and cities across the world’s largest country recorded temperatures above 35 degrees Celsius. In Moscow, the mercury rose to 32.7 degrees on July 3, beating the 1917 record by half a degree.
