Nestle begins work on ‘companion products’ for weight loss medication
Nestle on Thursday said it has started work on products that will “complement” weight-loss drugs such as Novo Nordisk’s revolutionary Wegovy, hoping to capitalise on their popularity. The Swiss food giant’s chief executive Mark Schneider said Nestle has yet to see any impact of such drugs on sales, referring to the threat they pose to the packaged food industry, which has scared off investors in recent weeks.
