New satellite will detect and share CO2 data from individual sites
Canadian emissions monitoring company GHGSat on Saturday launched from space for the first time a satellite designed to detect carbon dioxide emissions from individual facilities such as coal plants and steel mills. The satellite, called Vanguard, was launched from Vandenberg Space Force Base in California, GHGSat said.
