New world record holder Pan became the fastest in the 100-metre freestyle event 

On Wednesday, China’s world record holder Pan Zhanle topped qualification for the men’s 100m freestyle semi-finals at the World Championships in Doha. In comparison, Olympic medallist Jeremy Deplanche had the best time in the 200m medley.
