New Zealand suspends poultry exports after first case of H7 avian influenza
New Zealand said on Monday it had suspended all poultry exports following the detection of a highly pathogenic variant of avian influenza at a South Island poultry farm. Tests confirmed the presence of the H7N6 subtype of avian influenza at a rural poultry farm in the Otago region, Biosecurity New Zealand said in a statement.
