Temperatures in parts of China, including Shanxi, Hebei and Liaoning provinces, have reached the lowest level since records began. Yichun city in Heilongjiang province may see a record low temperature of -47.9°C recorded in January 1980, which will be broken early next week, according to a meteorologist from the area.
