Rich countries and island nations clash in UN court over climate change
On Friday, the World Court concludes its hearings on the legal obligations of countries in the fight against climate change and on whether large nations should be liable for damages caused by small island states. The UN’s International Court of Justice will issue a ruling on these issues, probably in 2025, which could be used in climate change litigation around the world.
