Scottish actor Richard Rankin, best known for starring in “Outlander”, will play Edinburgh detective John Rebus in a new six-part series based on Ian Rankin’s acclaimed crime novels, which will premiere on Scandinavian network Viaplay. The series is being adapted for television by screenwriter Gergory Burke.
