British Prime Minister Keir Starmer pledged ‘a new era’ in cross-border cooperation to tackle people smuggling gangs. The pledge was made on a trip to Rome, where he met Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, as part of a reset of relations with the rest of Europe.
