Seven European countries pledge to create CO2-free energy systems by 2035
Seven countries, including France, Germany, the Netherlands and France, pledged on Monday to eliminate CO2-emitting power plants from their energy systems by 2035. Together, these countries account for nearly half of the EU’s electricity production – thanks in large part to the contribution of Germany and France, two of Europe’s largest electricity producers.
