Severe storm hits coastal town in Argentina, killing at least 13 people

At least 13 people have died in Argentina, the mayor of a local town said Saturday after a severe thunderstorm hit along the South American country’s Atlantic coast. Federico Susbiellez, the mayor of Bahia Blanca, confirmed the death toll in a message on X. The city is near the southern tip of Buenos Aires province, one of Argentina’s largest grain-producing regions.
