Shanghai aims to return to normal on June 1st

Shanghai has laid out plans to end a painful COVID-19 lockdown that has lasted more than six weeks and has severely damaged China’s economy. Deputy Mayor Zong Ming said Shanghai would reopen in stages, with movement restrictions largely remaining in place until May 21 to prevent a resurgence in infections.
