Sleep issues during childhood may rise suicide risk
According to a study published in JAMA Network Open, having severe sleep disorders at age 10 was associated with a 2.7-fold increased risk of suicidal ideation and suicide attempts two years later. Nearly 1 in 3 participants with severe sleep disorders subsequently reported some level of suicidal behaviour.
