The first snowfall of the winter arrived in Beijing early on Monday morning, blanketing the Chinese capital with a white blanket overnight and plunging the city into sub-zero temperatures, with even colder weather looming in northern China this week. Snowfall averaged 5.8 mm early on Monday.
