South Korea’s LG Chem will invest $820m to build a cathode battery plant in the US

South Korea’s LG Chem Ltd said it will invest $820 million to build a battery cathode materials plant in the U.S. state of Tennessee. Last year, the South Korean petrochemical maker announced plans to invest more than $3 billion by 2027 to build a battery cathode plant in Tennessee. as the company ramps up plans to meet growing demand for electric vehicle components.
