Spain has the warmest January on record
Spain recorded its warmest January since records began in 1961, with the average temperature last month reaching 8.4 degrees Celsius, 0.4 degrees above the previous record set in 2016, the environment ministry said on Wednesday. Temperatures in mainland Spain also exceeded the average for this month between 1991 and 2020 by 2.4 degrees.
