Stephen Kandel, the prolific screenwriter whose work over four decades spanned Sea Hunt, Star Trek, Batman, Mannix and MacGyver, has died. He was 96. Kandel died of natural causes in his Boston flat, his daughter Elizabeth Englander told The Hollywood Reporter.
