Storm dumping snow on northeastern U.S., closing schools and halting flights
A powerful, fast-moving winter storm blanketed the US Northeast with heavy snowfall on Tuesday, creating challenging driving conditions for millions of Americans, forcing school closures and damaging air travel. More than 30 million people from northeastern West Virginia to New England were under a winter storm warning, according to the National Weather Service.
