Taiwan awaits U.S. announcement on extending China’s chip waiver deadline

Taiwan is awaiting a decision from the US government on whether to allow Taiwanese chipmakers an extension of an exemption to supply US chip equipment to their factories in China, Finance Minister Wang Mei-hua said on Thursday.
