A magnitude 5.5 earthquake struck eastern Taiwan’s Hualien county on Monday, the island’s meteorological administration said, with no immediate reports of damage. The quake shook buildings in the capital Taipei. The quake was 10 kilometres (6.2 miles) deep, the meteorological administration said.
