Thailand plans to ban corn imports from neighbours due to contamination
Thailand plans to ban corn imports from neighbouring countries due to crop burning causing air pollution, an official said Wednesday. The ban would not violate Thailand’s commitments to the World Trade Organisation, government spokesman Chai Wacharonke said, adding that the ban would take effect after the government passes the Clean Air Act.
