The CDC reports that the JN.1 variant accounts for 86% of COVID cases in the US

The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention on Monday estimated that COVID sub-variant JN.1 accounted for about 85.7% of cases in the US as of 19 January. The agency said JN.1 remains the most widely circulating variant of SARS-CoV-2 in the country and worldwide.
