Although Danielle Brooks did not take home the Oscar for Best Supporting Actress at the Oscars, she and the cast members took home the NAACP Image Award for Best Picture. On the red carpet, Brooks said that, of all her accolades, she is most grateful for the NAACP awards for recognising the team of “The Color Purple” with several nominations.
