The damage from online content piracy has exceeded $70bn a year

The Bloomberg portal reported that the worst threat to Hollywood in recent years has been “pirates of streaming content”. According to analysts’ calculations, the damage caused by the actions of such people amounts to $71 billion a year. The U.S. Chamber of Commerce estimates that this brings the state lost revenues of $30 billion a year, as well as 250,000 jobs.
