The Lions have signed standout CFL player Matthew Betts
The Detroit Lions signed linebacker Matthew Betts to a reserve/futures contract on Tuesday. Betts, 28, was named the CFL’s most outstanding defenceman after racking up a league-best 18 sacks in 18 games for the BC Lions last season. The Montreal native’s kill total was the highest among Canadian-born players in league history.
