The U.S. reported the first cases of monkeypox in children

Cases of the monkeypox virus disease in the United States were first detected in children – a baby in California and an infant who does not live in the United States. The two cases are unrelated and are likely the result of household contamination. The children are reported to be healthy and under treatment.
