The US has committed $1 billion to 25 Superfund hazardous waste cleanup projects
The US environmental regulator announced the launch of new projects to clean up 25 hazardous waste landfills. The landfills are part of the Environmental Protection Agency’s Superfund programme, which helps convert land contaminated by heavy industry for new economic development, such as parks and warehouses.
