The wildfire in Arizona has nearly tripled in size

A wind-driven wildfire in Arizona almost tripled on Wednesday after dozens of buildings burned down and thousands of people were forced to flee their homes in drought-stricken rural areas. Flames engulfed the northeast over virtually deserted hills and valleys 14 miles (23 km) north of Flagstaff, Arizona.
