To meet climate targets, energy efficiency must double by 2030
To meet global climate goals, countries must double the pace of energy efficiency measures, the International Energy Agency (IEA) said in a report on Wednesday. Record high energy costs last year helped spur the adoption of measures such as replacing gas boilers with heat pumps and switching to LED lights, but the pace of energy efficiency improvements has since slowed, the IEA said.
