Torrential rains have claimed the lives of 45 people in South Africa

At least 45 people died as heavy rains hit eastern South Africa’s KwaZulu-Natal province, which flooded communities, destroyed homes, washed away roads, and forced dozens of people to flee their homes, officials said.
