Peter Weir, the director of ‘The Truman Show’, ‘Gallipoli’ and ‘Dead Poets Society’, received a lifetime achievement award at the Venice Film Festival. Speaking to reporters, Weir said aspiring directors needed to get back to basics and escape the noise of modern life.
