Ukrainian forces have made some gains in both the eastern and southern theatres of their four-month counteroffensive, military officials said Monday. Russian battle reports said Moscow’s forces repelled Ukrainian attacks near the devastated town of Bakhmut in the east and inflicted heavy losses in strikes on Ukrainian positions outside the town.
