Uruguay’s left returns to the presidency with Yamandu Orsi’s victory
Centre-left candidate Yamandu Orsi won Uruguay’s presidential election in a run-off that was expected to be very close. Orsi secured a slim margin of 49.81% of the vote to conservative Álvaro Delgado’s 45.90%, official results showed.
