US court approves ordering Binance to pay $2.7bn to CFTC
A US court has ruled against cryptocurrency exchange Binance and its former CEO Changpeng Zhao, approving fines in the billions of dollars for money laundering in a case brought by the US Commodity Futures Trading Commission. As a result, Zhao will pay the CFTC $150 million and Binance will pay $2.7 billion to the CFTC, the agency said in a statement.
