US seeks $175,000 fine from SpaceX for failure to submit Starlink data

The Federal Aviation Administration has proposed a $175,000 civil penalty against SpaceX for failing to provide the agency with some safety data prior to the launch of Starlink satellites in August 2022. The FAA said SpaceX was required to provide the information, known as launch impact trajectory analysis data, directly to the agency at least seven days before the launch attempt.
