A record 46.7 million viewers in Britain will watch women’s sport on television in 2023, surpassing the 2019 figure by almost a million, according to research released by the Women’s Sport Trust. The Women’s World Cup final, in which England lost 1-0 to Spain at Australia Stadium, was the most-watched women’s sporting event on television in 2023, with 38.4 million hours watched.
