“Wonka” has already opened in cinemas in several countries around the world and has grossed more than $42.2 million in its first weekend. The film appeared in 37 markets, including Spain, Germany, Mexico, Japan and the UK. In the UK, “Wonka” had the best opening for Warner Bros. this year after “Barbie” with $11.1 million. The film will be released in the US on 15 December.
